It was funny how night came to Eden. You couldn't see the night sky but you knew when it was coming. The artifical lights began to dim, and the bark of dogs receeded to whispers echoing within the cavern walls. Leaving only the late workers sitting in the silence of the lull. Most of them technicians and physicians like the pale borzoi that sat in the ratted military tent that made up part of the physicians' quarters. His dull blue eyes staring blankly at the many tools packed into his convoy satchel. As he endlessly wondered what he was going to become.

Hemera trotted through the compound her golden ears bouncing with every step. She passed a few bunches of dogs - mostly physicians doing check-ups on patients. She paused outside of Hale's tent, calling out a quiet but perfectly audible warning before entering. She poked her head through the entrance, pushing through into the space. As she entered, her sand-coloured tail swishing on the way in.
"Excuse me, Hale?" Hemera called out, ears flicking. She didn't notice anything out of the ordinary - after all, it wasn't odd for physicians to clean up after a long day of work.

"Hmm?" The physician hummed. Hiding his surprise as he turned  his pale furred head to face the surprise visitor with a neutral expression on his fine boned muzzle as he questioned. "What's the matter Herr Technician?" his pale eyes remaining focused as the physician shifted to a stand on long graced legs. The only sign of weakness being the slight wobble hidden in his lame leg as he slowly took the few steps to be in talking distance of the technician. As he slung his satchel over his skeletal back, forgetting that this might make some dog's suspicious if there were other physicians around.

Hemera shifted her weight between her paws, appearing nervous. "Well-" Hemera started, her tail lashing in apparent agitation. "One of the Technicians got caught under a falling beam. He's okay but he can't get out because the beam trapped his hind legs. Do you think you could help?" Hemera asked the male borzoi mix. She was too concerned about the said Technician to notice any difference in Hale's behaviour, as well as worry about trivial details like him packing tools.

"...Alright." Hale nodded, the long tufts of fur on his jaw bouncing with the movement as he began to make his way towards the tent flap. His long furred tail long released from it's leather ties as he waited for the technician to show him the way. As his tail swept the ground in agitated silence that sent dust spiraling into the air. It's silky and knotted strands running a spiderweb trail of white behind him as he waited by the door. A silent sentinel in a silent world, with eyes that demanded the same silence. Making the skeletal dog look like almost etheral in the Eden's dim artifical lights.

Hemera nodded her thanks to the older dog and exited the tent. She raised her head and trotted steadily towards the location of the injured canine. She walked quick enough to get to the dog quickly, but slow enough for Hale to keep up with his limp. She veered around corners and down certain streets, stopping every so often to make sure that the Head Physician was following. She stopped at the mouth of an alleyway, allowing some time for Hale to catch up.
"I know going through a dark alley at night may not be a great idea.. Although it's the quickest way to get to the dog." She told Hale. If he had wanted to protest, he couldn't have, as Hemera was already stalking down the alley, the darkness envoloping her like a shawl of shadow.

Quickly limping after the younger dog, Hale swerved into the alleyway. His limp nearly tripping him up as he rounded the corner, ears twitching in impatience as he tried to walk as fast as he could in hopes to avoid being late to meet up with the Council Dog. Making the gangly sighthound slightly more nervous as he began to twitch in restlessness. His silky tail slowly gathering knots and dirt clumps as he slowly caught up to the technician. Before stopping halfway through the alleyway as the elder panted for breath with bird boned ribs.

Hemera halted, her ears perked. She turned her head to the borzoi, concern laden in her cocoa-coloured eyes.
"Are you okay?" She asked nervously, turning back and padding over to the Physician. She gneaded the ground with her paws. The thought that Hale would get tired earlier than herself had never crossed her mind, and she cursed at her own stupidity under her breathe. "We can take a break, if you want." Hemera told him.

Quickly moving the borzoi shoved the technician into the alleway wall his nose just touching her gold furred forehead as he attempted to make himself look less suspicious in case any of the councilor's goons were following him. His voice low and whispering as he ignored the mild pain of the smaller dog's muzzle butting into his chest. "Don't make a sound. I need your help." The physician rasped quietly into the technician's ear in case anyone else could hear. "I need your help, they're going to kill...kill my baby." The borzoi whispered, his voice jittery as he tried to think of a way to explain without getting his daughter killed. "Their going to kill my baby..."

Hemera wriggled around, trying desperately to remove herself from Hale's furry chest but to no avail. She pushed against the borzoi's chest, although she couldn't move him. Hemera leant her head back against the wall, attempting to turn her head to the side to release her muzzle. This also failed and Hemera released a frustrated huff.
"Lermhuhnn!" She shouted, although the sound was muffled by Hale's fur and the fact that she had her mouth clamped together. "Wharrrmmmeenn? 'Therghgungnhtuhkurlhmyhbrhby'?"

Realizing that he was probably going to choke the technician with his fur. The borzoi leaned back a bit as he sat down on his haunches, dirtying his white fur with various shades of dirt brown as he continued to whisper into the technician's golden furred ear, even though his wavy fur was still kind of blocking the technician from speaking. "They...Are...Going...To...Kill...My Baby." The physician hissed quietly, "If I don't do what. They. Want." The borzoi whispered, hackles rising in anxiousness as his pale eyes quickly look over both ends of the alleyway. "Help. Me. Stop. Her." the borzoi hissed, trying to keep his terrified breathing under control as he watched the alleyway exits from the corners of his eyes.
Hemera took a couple of gasping gulps of air. Her face was outlined with a confused scowl. "Buh why?" Hemera whispered through the Physician's fur. "Who's gonna kill your baby?" Hemera asked, keeping her voice low. There was an obvious tone of confusion in her voice, and she didn't know what to think. Was the Head Physician sincere? Was he going looney? She couldn't be sure.

"Ask Arianne if you can go on the Facility Team. Facility. Team. Okay?" The borzoi whispered, pale eyes still scanning from left to right occassionally as continued to whisper to the the techie in an urgent tone. "Facility Team means eyes, more eyes keep my baby safer." The  borzoi rasped his ears  tilting rapidly from side to side as he quickly sped up his whisper. "Watch the blue-eyed dog. She'll be Eden's downfall." The borzoi hissed, his ears pricking up as he turned his head to face the alleyway's back exit to see a shadowy azawahk like shape.

Hemera looked stunned. "What are you talking about?" She asked Hale. "What blue eyed dog? There's loads!" She muttered. Hemera leant forwards slightly, eyeing the direction that Hale was looking it. "What's up? I don't understand!" She mumbled. She just couldn't get what the problem was. Obviously the white physician was talking about his child or something similar, but who was going to kill his baby? What was the facility team?
Me and Falc actually did this a long time ago, she just told me to wait to post it xD
