Personality

[Polite] [Persuasive] [Charming] [Defensive] [Soft] [Skittish][Hypocritical]
Polite: Whether it's mock politeness, genuine politeness or politeness used to get something, Endymion is quite a polite canine. He uses his manners well for an infected.
Persuasive: As he has a smooth tongue, Endymion is quite a persuasive dog. He uses this to his advantage - convincing other dogs to follow him as their holy leader.
Charming: Due to his noble stature, Endymion can be quite charming.
Defensive: If insulted or just genuinely offended, Endymion can be quite cold. He won't tolerate any rude behavior towards his religion and if anyone bad-mouths he will not hesitate to bad-mouth them in response.
Soft: Being a former Edener, Endymion still has traces of his polite and friendly past.
Skittish: If give the choice of fight or flight, Endymion would definitely choose flight. He is a rather wimpy dog, so he will try not to fight those he believes he will not win against.
Hypocritical: Endymion will often tell dogs not to do things, even though he does those things himself.

Endymion's religion

'In the beginning, there was nothing except for three Celestial beings - Rame, the Sun god, and his sister Canis, the Moon goddess and Felidae, the Cat god of protection. These three beings created Earth, but not how we know it now. It was tranquil, with clear skies and green grass as far as the eye could see. The summer winds were cool and the rivers ran endlessly. Rame and Canis sent Felidae to watch over this serene paradise, and all was good.'
'Until Felidae became mad with jealousy.'
'Felidae grew tired of the one who was forgotten. "Rame and Canis get all the attention!" He cried, "I help too!"'
'Felidae soon removed his followers from the world and it became a merciless, barren wasteland, where no trust was worth and chaos burned in the hearts of every being. Rame and Canis grew angry at what Felidae had done to their Eden, and gave him one last chance to be considerate. Felidae agreed earnestly,
and sent his forces back to Earth, once again returning peace.'
'There was one problem though - Felidae still wasn't getting loved as he so wished. He once again became bitter and cruel. The world became dead once more, except this time it wasn't because of Felidae
removing his forces, no, it was him and the cats who caused it. They wreaked chaos through towns and villages, pillaging the rich and murdering the weak. Rame and Canis were furious - "how DARE he do that to our world?" they thought. They went to Felidae, demanding that he stop, but he refused to.'
'"Why should I? I never got the love I deserved, so these petty fools will not get the protection they deserve!" He snarled, turning away from the gods. Rame and Canis persued him, but Felidae was too fast
for them, too devious. The only problem was, Felidae could tire, Rame and Canis, however, could not. They chased Felidae until the poor feline could run no longer, and sent him to the deepest pits of Yamigami, their hell, where he is still harboured today. '
'Felidae was stripped of his holy title and renamed "Felidae the cruel", symbolizing his change from the god of protection to the god of chaos. Rame and Canis sent the dogs in their image to be the new protectors, but even then the world could not regenerate to it's old self, due to the excessive abuse Felidae had caused it. Now, it is considered good luck to destroy lucky cats, as they are no longer lucky but chaotic, as they still harbour the grudges of the cat god.'
'That, my dear friends, is why I believe that you should follow our religion. Perhaps the world is weeping because of the lack of love you show to it's gods? That's for us to find out.'

History

Endymion was born into a moderately wealthy family, who were strong believers of Rame and Canis. His mother was a tailor, which meant she got to stay home most of the day and watch her son whilst working. His father, on the other hand, was a Heavy scrapper, meaning that he wasn't home often due to his work. These two jobs together made a good income for the family.
Endymion had two siblings - a sister and a brother, one named Jason and the other Anne. They both were much larger than Endymion, right from birth. They never made fun of him though, as they all got along just fine and each believed that blessings came unto those who were kind. Their mother would buy them treats when she could get away from her work, and whenever their father had time, he would come play with them. They all had a great time, it was a normal life.

As an apprentice, Endymion decided against getting an overly major job and decided to settle with a job as a vendor. His sister chose to be a Radiohund and his brother became a convate. They all had great fun at what they did, and Endymion enjoyed spreading his teachings around to those who listened.

One day, on a warm day in March, soon after Endymion finished his training, he was advertising in the Town Square when a runner approached him.
"Excuse me, sir," The dog started, regaining his breath from the sprint, "The council wishes to see you at the gates," he told the Labrador/springer mix. "You should bring your mask," he finished before running off, leaving Endymion with little explanation. Being the dog he was, he went.
Waiting for him at the gate was a multitude of dogs - all different sizes and hues. They appeared to be surrounding a group of much younger looking canines. Two or three by the looks of things.
By the time Endymion had arrived, there was a pathway split between the dogs, who had obviously seen him coming. He froze, a few metres from a mangled heap of two dogs lying broken on the ground. It was his siblings.
It turned out that the two siblings had died during an attack from the wastelanders. Jason had gone down first. Anne had only just managed to contact the operator before being killed.

Endymion spent many months mourning the loss of his loved ones, only having his mother for company after his dad passed on from a seemingly incurable disease. He soon became delusional. His mother frequently took Endymion to the physicians for checkups, begging for medication. They never gave it to her.
"It's just aftershock. Post traumatic stress. It'll go away eventually," one of the physicians promised Endymion's mother.
It never did.

Weeks later, Endymion managed to slip out of Eden. He had decided to scour the wastes for his sibling's killers - not intending on getting revenge, but he just felt the impulse. His memory of this time is blurry - he can't remember much of it, only that he got out after a convoy. He found multiple open wounds soon after, which indicated he must have fought his way out. He soon caught the infection - not only from the injuries but from breathing in the infected air. Soon after, an infected canine attacked him and sped up his infection process by cutting him on his side, filling his blood with deadly toxins.
